Favorite Story, hosted by Ronald Colman, was a program which was syndicated nationally by Frederic W. Ziv Syndication. Each week the favorite story of a celebrity was performed. The celebrity did not appear on the program. In Mr. Stewart’s case, we are told that his favorite story is The Little Minister, which had been a 1934 film starring Katherine Hepburn.
Because the show was syndicated, it did not always air on the same day or time in various locations around the country. Here are two ads for The Little Mister. The first is from the Kingsport News, Kingsport, TN, on May 8, 1950, and the second is from the July 11, 1950, edition of the Daily Capital Journal, Salem, OR.
Although a great many of the more than 100 broadcasts survive, this one does not.
