Navy Blue and Gold was a 1937 film starring Stewart, Robert Young, Tom Brown and Florence Rice. When it was re-released in 1941, MGM prepared this disc to help promote the film.
The disc was covered in detail in Jimmy Stewart on the Air, but now you’ll also have the chance to hear it. All four of the stars are heard.
This recently found article from the Monday, November 15, 1937, edition of Film Daily would seem to place the broadcast date for the original show as November 18, 1937. The article appeared right on the fold of the paper so a little bit of the right side is missing…sorry.
