This program was heard Monday through Saturday on WJZ (ABC) in New York City. It aired from 2-2:30 pm Monday-Friday and 1-1:30 pm on Saturday.
Jimmy Stewart was interviewed by Maggi McNellis (Maggi Newhouse) in June of 1948. At least a part of that interview was most likely about the Alfred Hitchcock film, Rope, which Stewart had just completed. The film was set by Warner Brothers to be released on August 28, 1948. Somewhere within this time frame, this interview was used on the program.
Unfortunately, the listings for the program did not include guests’ names and were very sparse, like the one below from the New York Times.
