We recently found this interesting listing. It appeared in the April 18, 1957, edition of the Detroit Free Press, Detroit, MI:
It’s vague, but it could be Mr. Stewart. It is Marty McNeely’s show, so this Stewart would have been a guest. At this time, Stewart was near the end of a promotional tour for his new film, The Spirit of St. Louis, in which he portrayed Charles Lindbergh. Lindbergh made his trans-Atlantic flight in 1927, so music from the 1920’s would have been very appropriate.
No audio from the program exists, so we may never be able to say with 100% accuracy that this was the actor, but we believe it probably was.
