No soundtrack album has been released of the Max Steiner score for the film. The film’s theme, Theme From The FBI Story (What Do I Care) was recorded by at least two different artists at the time of the film’s release.
The first of these was a mainly instrumental version by Richard Maltby (Columbia 4-41452). It was reviewed in the August 3, 1959, edition of Billboard magazine:
The second release was by Jerry Vale and was a vocal recording. It too was issued by Columbia (4-41503). Like Maltby’s version, it was considered the b-side of the record when reviewed by Billboard (October 19, 1959):
