When Flight of the Phoenix was released to theaters in December of 1965, 20th Century-Fox also issued a one-sided, 12-inch, 33 1/3 RPM featuring three radio spots for the film.
Seeing the label, it would be easy to conclude that Stewart was voicing the spots, but he is nowhere to be heard on any of them. He is mentioned in the spots along with some of the other stars, including Richard Attenborough, Peter Finch, Hardy Kruger and Ernest Borgnine.
