Released on CD in 1998, The Frank Sinatra Christmas Collection (Déjà vu 5079-2) looks like a good source for a rare Jimmy Stewart song.
Unfortunately, in this case, looks can be and are very deceiving. Not only isn’t the Stewart track included on the CD, but there are only eleven tracks, not the fourteen listed. Even the tracks that do appear don’t match the listings. For instance, it is Frank Sinatra, not Bing Crosby, who is singing White Christmas. Sinatra also sings Santa Claus Is Coming to Town, which isn’t even listed. No reason to worry though because the Stewart track is available from several other sources.
This is a pleasant enough Christmas CD, but don’t buy it for the Stewart track or you’ll be disappointed.
