With The Man from Laramie set to premiere in San Antonio, Texas, Stewart and other cast members from the film embarked on a tour of the state to promote the opening. Besides San Antonio, he also made stops in Houston, Dallas and Fort Worth. The following full-page ad appeared in the July 13, 1955, edition of Motion Picture Daily:
In the “Facts” section of the ad, it is mentioned that Stewart would be making 39 appearances on radio and TV. Mention of radio appearances also appear in some newspaper stories that appeared at the same time. However, locating information as to the exact stations and times has proven very difficult.

The July 14th edition of Motion Picture Daily announced the arrival of the troupe in Houston and also mentioned that there would be radio appearances.
