The WOR Collection in the Library of Congress has two 16-inch recordings which are marked as being “radio rehearsals.” The title on the discs is The Naked Spur and the stars are listed as James Stewart and Janet Leigh, the stars of the 1953 film of the same title. The recording date is listed as January 14, 1953. The film didn’t have its premiere until February 6th of that year.
So, does this actually represent a newly found radio show? Possibly, but it is more likely that it is interviews of the two stars about the film. Until we get the chance to listen to these discs, we won’t know for sure.
