There is a bit of trivia involved with Red Lawson’s Revenge. This is the only story in The Six Shooter series which was not written by Frank Burt. This one was written by Les Crutchfield, who also wrote scripts for other radio shows including Gunsmoke, Dr. Kildare, Escape, Fort Laramie and Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar.
A preview of the show appeared in The Decatur Herald, Decatur, IL, on the day of the broadcast.
Britt is on his way to visit old friends Dan and Mary Maylor and their infant son whom they have named Britt, in his honor. On his way, he encounters Red Lawson who tells him that he is going to kill Dan. Lawson kidnaps young Britt and threatens to kill him, but Ponset has other ideas.
Barney Phillips plays Dan, Shirley Mitchell is Mary, Paul Richards has the role of Red Lawson and Leone Le Doux plays baby Britt.
