Broadcast 62 years ago today, on Sunday, October 4, 1953. The Six Shooter was still being heavily advertised by NBC and local radio stations. This week, it was part of a larger ad for several NBC programs. Here are two examples. The first is from the Albuquerque Journal, Albuquerque, NM (the ad has a slight mistake, in that Ponset is not a sheriff).
The next is from The Amarillo Sunday News-Globe, Amarillo, TX.
This article about the show appeared in the October, 1953, edition of a magazine published by radio station WOW, Omaha, NE.
In this week’s installment, Britt is helping the McAdams brothers – Ryfe, played by Lou Merrill, and Norm, played by James McCallion – drive their cattle to Abilene. He finds himself in the middle of a love triangle which leaves one of the McAdams dead.
