On July 5, 1948, six and a half years after its original broadcast (December 15, 1941), radio station WNYC in New York City rebroadcast We Hold These Truths. No reason for the rebroadcast was given, but since the show was in the highlighted section of the radio listings for the day, it must have been a good one.
Since the broadcast time is limited to 45 minutes, President Roosevelt’s comments from the end of the show were most likely removed.
