We have thus far been unable to confirmed Stewart’s appearance on this day’s program. In his book, James Stewart A Bio-Bibliography, Gerard Molyneaux says that Jimmy was a guest this day and talked with Jinx Falkenburg about the role of reservists in our national defense. He also states that this was a special Army Day broadcast. Unfortunately, most newspaper listings were similar to the one below which is taken from the New York Times:
