In Jimmy Stewart on the Air, we listed an unidentified radio show called Radio Week. The source for this listing came from the Wisconsin State Journal dated November 14, 1948:
Further research has identified this as another instance of I Speak for Democracy, which had originally aired in October-November, 1947. This is confirmed by an article appearing in the November 12, 1948, edition of the Times-Mirror, Warren, PA:
Since those mentioned to be heard in this broadcast are the same persons on the 1947 disc, it is possible that no new disc was issued for 1948. However, in listening to Stewart’s speech for that year, it seems that, at the very least, it would need some editing to remove the previous year’s information. If it was edited, that would necessitate a new disc being prepared. At this point in time, we have not been able to locate a new disc marked for use in 1948. But, the search will continue.
To refresh your memory, here is a scan of the 1947 label and Mr. Stewart’s message.
