We just recently discovered this short story which appeared on the September 12, 1988, edition of Broadcasting magazine:
Having never seen any other references to these public service announcements, we began to search. A second piece of information confirmed that the spots had, indeed, been recorded. This proof came from the Fall 2000 issue of African Wildlife News (Volume 37, No. 4):
No copies of these recordings appear to be in general circulation. However, further research has shown that a copy of the original cassette of these spots, like the ones sent to radio stations, is available as part of the L. Tom Perry Special Collections of the Harold B. Lee Library of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
