The following article is from the February 15, 1947, issue of Variety:
As you can read, ABC is using film stars to help promote its own radio shows. In return for the stars helping them, each of the promos will also mention the current film of the actor. The names of only three stars are given – Stewart, Claudette Colbert and Betty Hutton.
The article also states that electrical transcriptions were made. So, somewhere out there a 16-inch transcription disc may have survived and be in someone’s collection. If so, we’d love to hear it.
